Starbucks-Like Hot Chocolate

As you may know from my last post, my friend Noelle came over for a week, and she doesn’t live in Dubai.

We had found a recipe for Starbucks hot chocolate ages ago and now we couldn’t find it so we tried improvising and it turned out really well. Even if you don’t have hot chocolate powder/mix. Here’s the recipe:

Starbucks Hot Chocolate

Makes: 2 | Total Time: 3-5 mins | Difficulty: Vv Easy

You Will Need:
  • 1½ cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Add cocoa, sugar and water into a microwave-safe bowl and heat for about seconds or until it’s warm. Mix well to create a good syrup-like consistency with no lumps. Add milk and vanilla and stir well.
  2. Heat in the microwave for approximately 60 seconds or until hot.
  3. Now you can enjoy your delicious Starbucks-like hot chocolate anytime.

Eating at Bianca Mozzarella & Co

DSC01251.JPGBuratta in a Jar

Blogmas 12

This weekend my BFFL came for a visit ( ) and we had dinner at Bianca Mozzarella & Co. and the food was super delicious.

My favourite dish was ‘Penna Alla Siciliano’, it’s a dish which has penne, tomato sauce, mozzarella and eggplant. We also ordered a ‘Burrata in a Jar’ which was absolutely scrumptious, there was so much cheese and some delicious tomatoes and leaves. Leaves? Probably not so delicious, but, give them a chance.

My least favourite dish was the pizza, which was supposed to have mushrooms and truffle but there was literally no truffle on the pizza, which was quite disappointing.

Noelle was suddenly addicted to my camera so she took loads of pictures of me, the ones of the food were taken by me though.

What’s your favourite Italian dish?

My Week in Numbers 💯

Blogmas 11

I’ve seen sooo many of these kinds of posts all over … blogs and I decided to give it a try myself. I am well aware that this post and the next post are not really related to Christmas but I have a great recipe coming up!

// 42… \\ Laps swam in my swimming class.

// 1 …\\ Candy cane given to me by a girl in my class.

// 3…\\  Presents received from my secret santa.

// 2…\\  Assessments completed in 2 hours.

// 7…\\ Christmas songs were heard by my ears.

// 2…\\  Testers tasted at Pinkberry.

// 26…\\ Dhs spent with Milla.

I know, it’s a disaster, but I will improve, I shall.

Lush Haul!

Lush Haul

I recently stopped by Lush to just check out some of their new products for the Christmas range and restricted myself to just buying four things; no matter how hard I wanted to buy more.

I bought two from the Christmas range and two of their normal products:

  • ‘Shoot For The Stars’ bath bomb
  • ‘Snow Fairy’ fun soap
  • ‘Sugar Daddy-O’ hair conditioner
  • ‘Juicy’ shampoo

Shoot For The Stars

‘Honey-scented sparkles of Brazilian orange and bergamot waltz with swirling, golden stars, creating a world of cobalt colour. As the calming blanket of shimmering, midnight blue unfolds, Brazilian orange and bergamot oils combine to send your mood rocketing up to the stars.’ I haven’t actually tried this one out yet but the description and the scent are sooooo fabulous.

Snow Fairy

‘This colourful, candyfloss-scented fun is a little bit magical. Handmake your own festive fairy in soft pink and set her at the top of the tap so she can cast a spell over bathtime. Crumble a little under running water for streams of spellbinding, candy-coated bubbles which turn the water into a wonderland of sweetness, or lather up in your hands for a sugary sweet body wash.’ I think that Snow Fairy is not a very popular scent because some people find it too sweet, but I think it’s a really great smell and I haven’t smelled any other Lush product that smells similar.

I Love Juicy

Packed with fresh fruit to deeply cleanse and clarify hair. This is a fruit cocktail for the hair to cleanse and refresh it, softening seaweed to leave your locks super-shiny once they’re extra-clean. Freshly juiced pineapples, kiwi, mango and papaya are full of enzymes that help break down excess sebum (oil) on the scalp, leaving hair looking and feeling fresh and clean.’ This shampoo is really good because it actually does everything it says in the description and leaves your hair smelling really good.

Sugar Daddy-O

‘With richness beyond compare and a fondness for blondes, Sugar Daddy-O is one to watch. Lighter shades will remain classy, not brassy after a few strokes with this pretty purple solid conditioner. It’s full of luscious linseed infusion and argan oil to nourish. A floral bouquet of violet leaf absoluterose and bergamot creates an intoxicating fragrance that will last on hair all day. Work the bar between the hands before applying a small amount into wet hair; a little goes a long way.’ This conditioner is pretty cool because it’s a bar and is super massaging when you rub it into your hair, it’s really good.

🎅🏼What I Got For Secret Santa

DSC01179.JPGdsc01183.jpgAll ViewDSC01181.JPG

As you know….. one of the best things about the last week of school is Secret Santa! It’s just great fun to give someone else a gift and get a gift from someone as a secret.  Now that I re-read that I realise that that’s precisely what you’re supposed to do on Christmas.

Well, never mind, that’s the point, isn’t it? So… we did our Secret Santa early because we had a free lesson and I found out that Milla was my Secret Santa while I was hers! Funny, the odds are like one in … a … um … err … a lot. Yeah.

If I do say so myself, I really love the present as it’s almost exactly what I wanted. Milla gave me an adorable magnet, purple fairy lights, and a gorgeous rose-gold, glittery, A6 journal. The sides of the pages of the journal are a shiny rose-gold colour that is beoyootiful.  I was thinking of starting a bullet journal, so I now have everything I need. Cute journal? Check!

Have you received your Secret Santa gifts yet? If yes, what did you get?

Christmas Tag 🎄

Blogmas 8

I’ve been looking for the right moment to post this post, the time when I have no time and no ideas. Great timing! I think `The Christmas Tag ‘ is a great post because it’s really festive and entertaining to write. I’ve included the questions I used at the bottom.

What is Your Favourite Christmas Movie(s)?

My favourite Christmas movie would probably have to be ‘The Grinch Who Stole Christmas’. I’m not sure why, but I’ve loved it since I was about 7.

What Tops Your Tree?

A golden, sparkly star. It’s really small but I don’t focus on the top as much as I do for the ornaments.

Have You Ever Had a White Christmas?

Nope. Personally, I prefer green because that’s pretty much how Christmas has always been.

Favourite Christmas Song(s)?

Last Christmas by Ariana Grande. You can also check out Favourite Christmas Songs (selfless self-promo yessss).

Is Your Tree Real or Fake?

Fake. I’ve never actually had a real one 😂

Favourite Christmas Sweet/Chocolate?

Candy canes, obviously//

Do You Enjoy Wrapping Presents?

Yes, surprisingly I do. Even though I’m terrible at it.

White Tree Lights or Coloured Tree Lights?

Coloured tree lights 🙋🏼

Favourite Christmas Scent(s)?

Marshmallow, peppermint, gingerbread, pine cones (is that an actual scent?)

Where do you usually spend your holiday?

Usually at home, for some reason.

Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?

Honestly… receiving (guilty face).

What is your favourite thing about Christmas?

The fact that everyone is suddenly so happy and generous all the time.

When do you start getting excited for Christmas?

On the 1st of December, I’m a very early bird, as you can tell.

What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

New York or Switzerland, New York because… actually, London or Switzerland.

You have been granted one Christmas wish… what will it be?

For it to snow in Dubai, that’s the only thing I want, buuuut it’s impossible.

Holiday Bucketlist🎄

I’m sorry for not posting the right blogmas posts on the right days, but I will do all 24 days. It’s just a little harder than I thought to do blogmas😇

Since tomorrow is my last day of school before the vacation (🎉🎊), I decided to do a post dedicated to the holidays, kinda.

Here are a few (or more) things that I positively want to get done this Christmas:

  • Decorate a gingerbread house
  • Learn to properly gift-wrap presents
  • Figure out how to bike from my home to the grocery store and back
  • Create an original festive makeup look
  • Successfully finish blogmas
  • Make my own gingerbread cookies

Yeah, I think I’ll stick to six things to do, for now, I might not even finish all six anyway!     I also just realized how short this post is… oh gawsh.

What is one thing you want to get done in the holidays?

Peppermint Flavoured Lip Scrub

Blogmas 6

Yesterday I was sucking on a candy cane (in class) while Milla and I were discussing some things that would be cool if they were peppermint. Lollipops, bubblegum, ice-cream, tiny peppermint earrings (how cute would that be tho!).

Soon I came to peppermint lip scrub, and an alarm started ringing in my brain, BLOGPOSTIDEA BLOGPOSTIDEA BLOGPOSTIDEA. Even if you don’t have peppermint extract, you’re still probably going to be able to do this.

You Will Need:

  • Brown sugar
  • honey
  • candy canes
  • food colouring (optional)

  1. Take 2 teaspoons of sugar and place them in a bowl.
  2. Next, keep adding honey until you get a right, slightly gloopy consistency.
  3. Crush a small piece of your candy cane and add it to the mixture.
  4. Now, if you’re adding food colouring, it’s time to mix it in until you get your desired shade.
  5. Finally, put your lip scrub into a container and use it whenever your lips are dry!

If you could have any flavour lip scrub, what flavour would you pick?

Festive Scented Candles🕯

Blogmas Day 1-5

One of the most amazing things about Christmas is all the scents in stores like Bath & Body Works. There are some of the most gorgeous creams and candles which you can use all through the year, then stock up on again next Christmas.

So it should come as no surprise that this post shows 3 candles that smell soooooo good that I want to eat them!!!

Peppermint Marshmallow is really good and smells like candy canes and marshmallows, I wonder why…

Winter Sun is a lovely, refreshing smell that has a little hint of winter. It’s kinda hard to describe but also a very subtle fragrance that doesn’t hurt your nose.

Finally, Vanilla Snowflake. This one is just scented with vanilla, basically.  But it’s not like those overpowering … overwhelming vanillas, it’s a soft vanilla. Clearly, I prefer sweet aromas 🙂

Where do you usually go for Christmas scents?
