Buddy the Pug

This week’s photo challenge topic is ‘Beloved’.                                                                              So obviously, I used a picture of my dog I found from a while ago.

His name is Buddy and he is a Pug. He is also just about the cutest thing ever but I’m pretty sure you got that figured out by now 😋 We’ve had Buddy for just a few years but he’s part of our family and he does some very hilarious and stupid things which make us all laugh.Beloved WPC

He does things like:

Roll in our rangoli (as seen above)                                                                                                    Roll on carpets                                                                                                                                Bark at balloons and cherries

The list could go on for a while so I’m afraid that’s the end!

Who else is excited that Zoella’s making her blog daily again?

The Silent Streets of Chamonix

A short while ago I travelled to France and visited a little town – which was on a mountain- called Chamonix.

When we just reached for the first time, we were roaming around in a car and when we stopped to get out for a moment and feel the cold, we were on this beautiful street with snow covering it like a blanket. You could see a little group of people in the corner but there was literally not a sound. It was the quietest and most peaceful place ever.

Looking at this picture makes me remember to pause once in a while and actually take in planet Earth because it’s much better than anything we can make or imagine. Also, Earth has snow, I don’t think any other place would have snow.

I rest my case.

Which is the most beautiful country you’ve ever been to?

The Liebster Award

I have recently been nominated for the Liebster Award 2018 by my best friend Noelle (thisprettygirlslife.wordpress.com). So thank you soooo much! So I thought I could (kinda) start off 2018 with a few questions which will help you get to know me a bit better ❤️

For those of you who don’t know what the Liebster award is, it’s an award for new bloggers with less than 200 followers.  Here are the rules-

1→ Acknowledge the blogger that has nominated you.

2→ Answer the 11 questions that the nominator has asked you.

3→ Nominate 11 more bloggers (with less than 200 followers).

4→ Ask them 11 questions.

5→ Let them know you have nominated them.

Now let’s get going!

  1. Are you enjoying blogging?

Yes, I am.

2. If you were stranded on an island, which five things would you like to take with you?

I would take- a ginormous bag of food and drinks, my phone, a writing set (notebook and pen), a tent, a sleeping bag.

3. Favourite movie and why?

Pitch Perfect 3 because it’s really funny, I love the characters, and I love singing so… go watch it if you haven’t already!

4. Three words to describe yourself.

Creative. Smart. Musical?

5. Favourite pastimes?

Um… watching movies & t.v shows, reading books, blogging, taking pictures, eating 😋

6. Most important things/people in your life?

My mom- she loves me, cares for me, she’s my mom!

My dad- funny, kind and obviously, because he’s my dad.

My brother- because he’s really annoying and I live with him 😂

My grandma- she always tells great stories and she’s really nice and funny.

My best friends- ❤️❤️❤️ you know why.

7. Favourite subject and why?

Study hall because I get to do anything and finish homework so I don’t have to do it at home. Yes, it’s a lesson. When people sign up for their mother tongue (don’t ask), people who don’t sign up basically get a free lesson. This is the time I use to chat with Noelle.

8. Describe your blog!

Well: my blog is all about beauty, food and a basic lifestyle. Not some princesses life, sorry to disappoint, but really interesting just the same.

9. Biggest goal for 2018?

Getting my blog to 100 followers. Hey, you asked for BIGGEST goal, you asked for it! So please follow if you haven’t already, you won’t regret it 🙂

10. Favourite thing about blogging?

How I get to share my thoughts and ideas with other people and not get judged.

11. Best experience you’ve had?

Going in snow I think, it’s so amazing.

There you have it! Time for some of my questions:

  1. Why did you start blogging?
  2. What inspired your blog name?
  3. What is your dream holiday?
  4. Favourite blog to read?
  5. What are your pastimes?
  6. Your biggest goal for 2018?
  7. If you were given an unlimited budget but were only 5 things, what would you buy?
  8. If you were given the chance to meet anyone you wanted, who would you pick??
  9. What is your favourite food?
  10. What accomplishment are you most proud of??
  11. What was the best thing about 2017?

And the nominees are:

That’s all I’ve got for now but follow if you want to be nominated!

Best thing about this week til now?

Weekly Photo Challenge: Growth

Aaaas you may know from a previous post, I have decided to try out the ‘Weekly Photo Challenge’. Seems pretty interesting so, yeah!

This week’s topic: GROWTH

This photo links to growth for me because there are ideas growing, sprouting and becoming bigger and better. Also, the pictures in the background add a touch of people and nature growing because it’s as the time passes by. It may be a weird interpretation of the topic, but hey, that’s me !

Have you started anything new this year?

Starbucks-Like Hot Chocolate

As you may know from my last post, my friend Noelle came over for a week, and she doesn’t live in Dubai.

We had found a recipe for Starbucks hot chocolate ages ago and now we couldn’t find it so we tried improvising and it turned out really well. Even if you don’t have hot chocolate powder/mix. Here’s the recipe:

Starbucks Hot Chocolate

Makes: 2 | Total Time: 3-5 mins | Difficulty: Vv Easy

You Will Need:
  • 1½ cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Add cocoa, sugar and water into a microwave-safe bowl and heat for about seconds or until it’s warm. Mix well to create a good syrup-like consistency with no lumps. Add milk and vanilla and stir well.
  2. Heat in the microwave for approximately 60 seconds or until hot.
  3. Now you can enjoy your delicious Starbucks-like hot chocolate anytime.

Eating at Bianca Mozzarella & Co

DSC01251.JPGBuratta in a Jar

Blogmas 12

This weekend my BFFL came for a visit ( thisprettygirlslife.wordpress.com ) and we had dinner at Bianca Mozzarella & Co. and the food was super delicious.

My favourite dish was ‘Penna Alla Siciliano’, it’s a dish which has penne, tomato sauce, mozzarella and eggplant. We also ordered a ‘Burrata in a Jar’ which was absolutely scrumptious, there was so much cheese and some delicious tomatoes and leaves. Leaves? Probably not so delicious, but, give them a chance.

My least favourite dish was the pizza, which was supposed to have mushrooms and truffle but there was literally no truffle on the pizza, which was quite disappointing.

Noelle was suddenly addicted to my camera so she took loads of pictures of me, the ones of the food were taken by me though.

What’s your favourite Italian dish?

My Week in Numbers 💯

Blogmas 11

I’ve seen sooo many of these kinds of posts all over … blogs and I decided to give it a try myself. I am well aware that this post and the next post are not really related to Christmas but I have a great recipe coming up!

// 42… \\ Laps swam in my swimming class.

// 1 …\\ Candy cane given to me by a girl in my class.

// 3…\\  Presents received from my secret santa.

// 2…\\  Assessments completed in 2 hours.

// 7…\\ Christmas songs were heard by my ears.

// 2…\\  Testers tasted at Pinkberry.

// 26…\\ Dhs spent with Milla.

I know, it’s a disaster, but I will improve, I shall.

Have you ever tried a week in numbers post? If so, link it below because I want to read it!

Lush Haul!

Lush Haul

I recently stopped by Lush to just check out some of their new products for the Christmas range and restricted myself to just buying four things; no matter how hard I wanted to buy more.

I bought two from the Christmas range and two of their normal products:

  • ‘Shoot For The Stars’ bath bomb
  • ‘Snow Fairy’ fun soap
  • ‘Sugar Daddy-O’ hair conditioner
  • ‘Juicy’ shampoo

Shoot For The Stars

‘Honey-scented sparkles of Brazilian orange and bergamot waltz with swirling, golden stars, creating a world of cobalt colour. As the calming blanket of shimmering, midnight blue unfolds, Brazilian orange and bergamot oils combine to send your mood rocketing up to the stars.’ I haven’t actually tried this one out yet but the description and the scent are sooooo fabulous.

Snow Fairy

‘This colourful, candyfloss-scented fun is a little bit magical. Handmake your own festive fairy in soft pink and set her at the top of the tap so she can cast a spell over bathtime. Crumble a little under running water for streams of spellbinding, candy-coated bubbles which turn the water into a wonderland of sweetness, or lather up in your hands for a sugary sweet body wash.’ I think that Snow Fairy is not a very popular scent because some people find it too sweet, but I think it’s a really great smell and I haven’t smelled any other Lush product that smells similar.

I Love Juicy

Packed with fresh fruit to deeply cleanse and clarify hair. This is a fruit cocktail for the hair to cleanse and refresh it, softening seaweed to leave your locks super-shiny once they’re extra-clean. Freshly juiced pineapples, kiwi, mango and papaya are full of enzymes that help break down excess sebum (oil) on the scalp, leaving hair looking and feeling fresh and clean.’ This shampoo is really good because it actually does everything it says in the description and leaves your hair smelling really good.

Sugar Daddy-O

‘With richness beyond compare and a fondness for blondes, Sugar Daddy-O is one to watch. Lighter shades will remain classy, not brassy after a few strokes with this pretty purple solid conditioner. It’s full of luscious linseed infusion and argan oil to nourish. A floral bouquet of violet leaf absoluterose and bergamot creates an intoxicating fragrance that will last on hair all day. Work the bar between the hands before applying a small amount into wet hair; a little goes a long way.’ This conditioner is pretty cool because it’s a bar and is super massaging when you rub it into your hair, it’s really good.

What is your favourite Lush winter product?

December Goals ❄️

It’s day 2 of Blogmas, and I can tell I have left it a bit too late to do ‘December Goals’, but I’ll just do it anyway. It’s also not a very Christmas-vibey post, but I’ve got some other Christmas-related ideas, and I can’t wait to share them!

  1. Make the most of the last month of 2017
  2. Study hard for the end-of-term tests (next week)
  3. Decorate a gingerbread house, or cookie
  4. Listen to Christmas songs quite often (this won’t be too hard!)
  5. Take more photos 📸

That’s all for this month! Keeping it down to 5 or else I probably won’t actually reach the goals. I’m pretty sure everyone does that … right? Have a great night!

What are your goals for this month, do we have any in common?
