I created this lovely little blog FIVE WHOLE YEARS AGO when I was a tiny 12-year-old which (as I say every year) is so insane to think about. I don’t know if I expected myself to still be writing 5 years later but I definitely hoped that I would be.
I don’t blog consistently enough to say that but whatever, it’s the thought that counts and I’m here right now, aren’t I? yes. Thank you.
It’s so weird to look through my older blog posts and see how much I’ve changed and the way I remember writing these posts and coming up with ideas for them like it was yesterday. It’s so adorable because they feel like little journal entries (that anyone who’s interested can very easily see) or like (one-sided) conversations with friends.
Along with completing 5 years I also recently reached 300 followers on my blog??! I keep putting the question marks because once again it’s quite insane, I mean, 300 is a lot.

Anyone who ever said this is a bad song is just objectively so wrong and I’m glad I don’t have to share one of my favourite songs with you (might be harsh but I’m just very passionate about my cause). The song overall just feels so ethereal and sweet and floaty and the lyrics are so precious and dreamy. I mean “I searched aurora borealis green, I’ve never seen someone lit from within, blurring out my periphery”???? I love this song with my entire heart so please go listen to it, it’s beautiful. Maybe 18 days too late but I have a valid reason and that is that I had my mock exams immediately after winter break so I had to just study for a while. I mean I could have written about price elasticity or the process of aerobic respiration or something but I doubt you guys would be interested so … I didn’t.
Anyways, the point is, it’s 2022 now! 2021 was definitely a very interesting year which means it kind of sucked but also had some great moments here and there; a huge combination of things. So this post a very short one where I talk about some highlights and maybe some things I learnt in 2021?
Improved a ton in my singing and guitar playing because I was pretty much always at home for the first 8 months
Journaled a lot more which I always forget to do (finished 1 and a half notebooks for the first time wow)
Came first place in my school’s talent show! The show actually happened in 2020 but I only found out I won in 2021 so it counts.
Grew my blog a lot more (hit 200 followerssss) and finally got around to and figured out how to change the way my blog looks. I love the redesign a million times more than the old theme.
Hung out with my cousin a ton before she left for uni 🥲
After finally returning to school in person I realised that doing school online for a full year was terrible and I was not enjoying it as much as I thought I was (seriously why did I think I was vibing at home)
Started learning to play the electric guitar which is SO COOL! Also got my own electric which looks and sounds amazing I’m still obsessing over it
It rained a ton on new year’s eve and I had been waiting all year for that
Started becoming more confident
And lastly, one of the bestparts of 2021 was making a new friend group :))))) Only one of them is actually a new friend (hi Misha if you’re reading this, which you should be) and the others I’ve known for quite a while actually but yes the combination of people is new and they’re very fun. so yep, definitely a highlight.

it’s the lovely month of November now and has been for a while but oops
the past few months have felt chaotic to me because we’re going out a lot more (going to school and stuff) but it’s been oddly fun and time FLEW.

Song recommendation of the post:The Kids Are All Dying by Finneas. The songwriting of this song is just so good like all of Finneas’ songs but I’ve honestly never heard another song like this one. After the last exam me and my friend Simmy went to the mall (I got a pretty nail polish, lip scrub and lip balm yay), ate ice cream and accidentally ended up spending two hours dancing and singing screaming Little Mix and One Direction songs. It was honestly such a vibe, you missed it.

What’s your favourite colour of all time? My favourite colour is and always has been pink haha. I never change 😌 Specifically blushy, peachy, baby pinks though. So pretty 😭
What is your favourite food and favourite dessert? I love popcorn and gnocchi (I’ve been having a huge gnocchi phase for a while now) and for dessert probably cake. Dude I literally haven’t had vanilla cake in forever and I’d really love some right now.
What are your personal beliefs? (e.g. religion) I am a Hindu so basically my religion is Hinduism which is where we believe in a lot of Gods instead of just one. And yeah obviously we have a lot of different beliefs but that would be too much to get into now hehe.

What are three things you like about yourself? Hmm, I like that I’m quite a creative person, I try to be kind to people and make them feel happy and good about themselves and that I can find nearly anything funny (some people find that annoying and then that makes me like it even more lol).
What is/are your comfort songs? I love this question 💞💞 Maybe Breathe by T Swift, I Want To Write You A Song by 1D, Fine Line and Golden by Harry Styles and Defenceless by Louis Tomlinson. Clearly I’ve got a really big range of music tastes.
What is your favourite thing about your culture? Everythingggg. Okay but specifically Indian food, clothes, festivals and just the overall vibe. Ooh and Indian weddings they’re so fun (even though I haven’t gone to one in forever 😔😫)
What is your favourite movie? Probably Ocean’s 8, that was a great movie. Honestly I haven’t seen a really good movie in forever so yeah that’s what I’ll go with. Also The Parent Trap because how can you not love that movie.

If you could swap lifestyles with one person, who would it be?
I- Um. I’m sure I can’t say Taylor again sooo maybe Jade from Little Mix? It’d be cool to see what it’s like being in a girl group.
Why did you decide to create a blog?
There were actually two reasons. The first is because I’ve always liked writing so my mom suggested it since I can just write anything here (😋) and the second reason is because I wanted to be like Penny from ‘Girl Online’ lol. Anywaysss, I’m way past that now and I just love my blog and all the people who visit.
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m kind of in love with music and will force my favourite songs onto you no matter what (with kindnesss, obviously). And recently I’ve been recommending a lot of songs by artists that are lesser known or very underrated so I decided to share these very cool talented people with you guys!
I even put the links for the songs that I like especially for you so you can listen to them super quick.
Abigail Barlow
I’m starting with Abigail because she is a QUEEEEN. If you’ve been on TikTok a lot lately you’ll probably know her from the ‘If Bridgerton Was a Musical’ concept (which has super great songs that you’ll love even if you haven’t watched Bridgerton, like me). But she’s literally a popstar and has such a good voice and writes all of her songs. Lol I don’t know what else to say about her except that she writes awesome hype songs that you would dance to if we could party right now. I mean you could always have a party in your room, by yourself.
Next is FINNEAS because he is also extremely awesome. I think he is pretty known but still underrated. For anyone who doesn’t know, he is Billie Eilish’s brother and co-writes and produces all of her songs, and he’s also produced and written with/for artists like Selena Gomez and Camila Cabello so he’s quite cool. The fact that he’s an amazing songwriter, amazing producer and amazing singer just blows my mind. His style is more alternative pop, I feel like, but I’m telling you, his songwriting and song concepts are wayyyy too good.
Now we have a very fun girl group named Boys World. If you’re wondering why they’re called Boys World when they’re all girls it’s because ‘boys’ stands for ‘best of yourself’ and then I think it was also for irony? Kinda remember them saying that? Anyways, they all have unique voices, harmonize suuuper well and are good dancers. They were actually just formed I think a year and a half ago so they only have two songs out at the moment but wouldn’t it be nice to say you knew them before they got big?
Sabrina Carpenter! Her songs are genuinely good pop songs that would definitely be super big if more people heard them. They aren’t cheesy songs that you might think she’d make because of her Disney background, she has grown up and so has her music. Plus her vocals??? I didn’t expect her to be that good, but she is, so go listen.
And lastly we have Gracie Abramssss. Her songs are more soft songs, compared to the rest of the artists above. It’s more like bedroom pop (I think that’s what you would call it yikes). She has a really nice voice that is kind of raspy at times and that sounds so good 😭 Her voice and her songwriting style make her songs feel a lot more personal which I really love! My fav songs:Friend, 21, Mean It

it is the end of 2020??? whattt???
this year has obviously been absolutely crazy for everyone and I highly doubt anybody will forget it lol.
so this post is basically me looking back on the good things that have happened instead of the *very obvious* bad stuff … yeah that’s really it. I barely took any pictures because firstly, there wasn’t a ton of exciting moments and secondly, I forgot 😋.
SO let’s begin listing the good things:
I got to spend lots of time doing things I love because we had to stay home.
I hung out with my friends back in Feb and it was so much funnn.
I think I grew a bit as a person?? Like I feel like I’ve changed to become more like how I want to be.
A bunch of singers I love released new music and I also found new artists I like heheh.
International day: the last big gathering lol and I had so much fun with my friends.
I started a bunch of things that I’d always been too nervous to do!
Aaaand that’s all haha sorry. My mind literally went blank when I was thinking of these.
To anybody who feels weird like they haven’t accomplished anything today and has seen other people’s posts on all the great things that have happened: it’s okay!! 2020 was honestly a hard year and the fact that you were strong enough to go through it is great.

I hope you’re all doing great and enjoying the start of the holidays (if they’ve started for you yet).
I am aware that I’m here with another Taylor Swift album review just around 4 months after the last one but IT’S NOT MY FAULT! I blame Taylor for releasing another amazing album so fast.
Lol the only thing I’m upset about is that I was planning to talk about Little Mix’s album ‘Confetti’ and I already wrote most of the post but then came evermore and I just … I couldn’t not. If you guys wouldn’t mind/would be interested in a post about Confetti do let me know cause I really love that album, it’s in my top 5 of the albums released this year.
So yeah, onto evermore.
Taylor decided to once again drop a surprise album less than 5 months after the last one (folklore). evermore and folklore are sister albums so the sound is almost the same and the songs are still written as if you’re telling a story. But evermore sounds a bit more mature to me and the production sounds a lot more magical while folklore sounded more melancholy. The topics of the songs are really interesting too, like a rejected proposal, a murder mystery and a song about her grandmother.
It’s just such a good album and ohmygosh the lyrics, the lyricssss. The lyrics are heaven sent and that’s all I can say. Plus the fact that this album was made in around 4 months??? and it’s a masterpiece??
