Never Have I Ever

sunset

hey everybody!

Before I start this post I first want to make sure that everyone knows about the Black Lives Matter movement.

I didn’t talk about this in my last post because I wanted to first make sure I have all the correct information just so I don’t say something that isn’t right. But if you haven’t already, please please please sign any petitions or go to protests (safely and peacefully and if you’re old enough) or donate to places. Do whatever you can. It makes no sense that we have to fight for people to not be treated different just because of the colour of their skin. If you know anybody who doesn’t agree just talk to them about it and hopefully it will help change their point of view. I would like the petitions if I could but certain ones are blocked where I live. I’m sure if you search them up they will be there. help make a change.

So, this post is me doing never have I ever, which you probably figured by the title. I know these questions are probably extremely boring but it’s almost impossible to find any questions on the internet that aren’t…weird. I tried to pick ones that I have a bit of a story for so please enjoy haha.

Gotten Stitches

I have never gotten stitches (thankfully) But when I was a baby I tripped somewhere and cut my head right between my eyebrows. When I say right in the middle I mean there is literally equal amount of space on both sides which is pretty strange?? Anyways, the doctor said that I should probably get stitches but we ended up not doing it cause that means it would leave a scar. It left a scar anyways but I got away without stitches lol. I’m pretty sure you can even see it in the pictures in my last post.

Gotten Detention

Technically I have got detention (ooh what a rebel) but technically I also didn’t (jk I’m a goody-two-shoes). Basically the teacher gave half the class detention for not doing what she said for homework but I half did and half didn’t, I can’t explain the whole story, and somehow got away with not going.

Had a Dangerous Experience

have had a dangerous experience. I tell this story to everyone because it’s one of the only interesting things in my life lol. So one day it was raining a lot and there was thunder and wind and everything. My mom was helping somebody with something and like a really smart person decided to go like dance around this tree that was nearby. Not in a weird ritual way just a fun “yay i’m dancing in the rain” way. I heard this weird noise so I ran away and the tree fell right where I was standing. It was truly a traumatizing experience.

Broken a Bone

I have broken a bone not once, but twice. The first time was when I was about 6 or 7 and I tripped and hit my wrist on a slide and then again I broke my wrist in the exact same place, same bone and same part, while I was biking to school. Ooh this is another dangerous (-ish) experience story, how fun. I was biking to school and the traffic light was red for cars so clearly I was allowed to cross, but one AMAZING (note the sarcasm please) dude felt like it wasn’t important and came speeding towards me and I thought he was gonna hit me. (spoiler alert: he didn’t. I’m all in one piece and all good. Healed from that incident too) So I braked really hard and somehow did something to my wrist which fractured it and then proceeded to let go of the bike from the pain which meant I hit my wrist on the handle which made it worse and there was definitely MUCH MORE PAIN. Oh ya, also, the dude drove away. *shameless*

Met a Celebrity

I havee??? ish??? I took a picture with Bebe Rexha at a concert but I didn’t get to tell her a thing. And then me and my friends once thought we were meeting Camila Cabello because of this random guy who started talking to my friend and we all freaked out but it turns out he was talking about these radio people, not Camila Cabello. It was probably one of the biggest betrayals of my life.

Annnywaaayyy.  This post ended up being a little longer than I thought but I hope you enjoyed these random stories.

Please comment because it makes me very happy when you do and also tell mw if you have done any of the above!!

Traits of a Libra

hey everybodyyyy

I hope you are all doing well and are free from corona virus. Our school is closed for a month while they clean it thoroughly so I can write a bunch of more blog posts.

The second two weeks we’re going to have to do online school but like still.

Basically, my zodiac sign is a libra as I was born on October 5th and libras are from Sep 23 – Oct 22 I’m pretty sure. So in this post I’m going to list some libra traits (and stereotypes?) that apply to me haha. I was going to just list the traits in general and see which apply to me and which don’t but basically every trait applies because I’m an extremely stereotypical libra girl so that’s very fun.

If any of you readers are libras too please comment which ones are also true for you! (that rhymes? kinda??)

Super indecisive
I think this is like the first trait that really comes to mind when you think of a libra. Although it doesn’t apply to everyone it definitely applies to me 😊 I’m one of the most indecisive people I know. You have no idea how stressful it was for me when I had braces and had to choose a new rubber band colour on the spot…

Overthink a lot
VERY TRUE (for me). I must think about a situation like ten times before it actually happens and over analyse every little thing a person says or does. If you don’t give me an answer I’ll make one up and that’s just how it is.

Never say what they really feel
This is half true and half not, pour moi. Because sometimes I will straight out tell a person about something that is bothering me if the person I am telling is a part of the reason because they can do something about it. But otherwise I wouldn’t tell because telling them wouldn’t really benefit either of us.

Always want things to be balanced and fair
Actually, most of the libras that I know are peacekeepers who want things to be fair and equal. People get really annoyed about this at times but oh well, haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate

Image result for taylor swift haters gonna hate

Way too nice & people pleasers
Not sure this is for everybody but yeah that’s me. I’m too nice to people so my friends tell me to stop being a people pleaser. Such supportive friends am I right?

Cares too much about what others think
That’s meeeeeeeee. I care way way way too much about what other people think of me which is funn *smiles the fakest and most distressed smile ever that eventually gets kinda creepy* But you know what? I’m trying to care less and that’s all that matters.

Sooooo if there are any other libras out there, let me know if any of these traits are true for you!
And other zodiacs please comment what traits of your sign show for you ❤

Romance by Camila Cabello ❤️

Romancehello everybody!

I hope you’re enjoying December so far. It’s raining a bit at the moment and I am currently at school so that’s very exciting.

SO. I have been a fan of Camila Cabello since around ‘Crying in the Club’ I think (also I loved all of the girls from Fifth Harmony but we’re not going to talk about that right now). I love all of the songs from her first album as a solo artist and I even got to see her perform live at Redfest in February! Of course, she was amazing and sounds even better than the studio recording, anything else?

On Friday (the 6th of December) Camila released her second album, ‘Romance’. To say that I was excited is an understatement. I loved all of the singles she put out before the album and I was surprised she released so many lol. All of the songs are related to romance, obviously. The cover of the album is also very pretttyyyy. So this is my ranking of the songs atm (I don’t hate any, I just like some more than others)  ♥️

  1. This Love
  2. Used To This
  3. Should’ve Said It
  4. Liar
  5. Shameless
  6. Living Proof
  7. Easy
  8. Cry For Me
  9. First Man
  10. Dream of You
  11. Bad Kind of Butterflies
  12. Feel It Twice
  13. My Oh My
  14. Señorita

There are so many amazing lyrics and concepts in this album that I actually never expected and Camila is really more brave and confident with her voice which I love. I mean, have you heard living proof?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this album so please comment down below your fav songs too!!

Dua Lipa Concert!

hey everyone!

On November 15th (I am aware that was like two weeks ago but we’re not gonna talk about that) Dua Lipa performed in Dubai.

I originally wasn’t planning to go because I hadn’t heard all of her songs but then my friend invited me and some other people to the concert for her birthday so of course I couldn’t say no lol. For like 2-3 weeks I listened to Dua’s songs and learnt the lyrics and I’ll tell you which of her songs are my favourite at the end and also talk about the concert 🙂

I only have a handful of pics and videos  ( but I can’t attach videos 😔 )because I wanted to dance and jump around so here are the few I could fit into this post.

This picture is my favourite 💖

Birthday girl is in the middle 🎂

Okay, so Dua’s performance was around one-and-a-half hours I’m going to say and she was exactly on time. I’m late to everything in life so to me that’s an achievement.

She performed her songs flawlessly and danced around the stage the whole time. I’m surprised she could sing so amazing while she’s dancing and taking laps of the stage, my friends and I were exhausted and we barely did anything. Alsoo Dua performed her newest song ‘Don’t Start Now’ for the first time in concert which was pretty amazing and a great song to scream at the top of your lungs. (go listen to it if you haven’t already)

Overall her performance was amazing and obviously she ended with New Rules. She just didn’t sing ‘No Goodbyes’ ‘Room For 2’ and I’m pretty sure some other songs that I was really looking forward to.  These are my top 3 Dua Lipa songs if anyone was wondering:

  1. Last Dance (so underrated)
  2. Dreams
  3. Genesis

In no particular order *cough cough*

Comment what your favourite Dua Lipa songs are!!

The Art of Procrastination

P.S. Sorry about the super-duper long wait; my computer crashed and I had to give it in to get it repaired so I couldn’t write! (if I write it from my iPad the format is terrible)

Raise your hand if you are a certified procrastinator

🙋🏼🙋🏼🙋🏼

Admit it, if you’re reading my blog you are probably only reading it to get away from something else you really don’t want to do. So, welcome to the Procrastinators Club! Collect your nametag at the front desk, thank you 🙂

Our end-of-year exams are coming in approximately two weeks (!!!) so I am kind of already drowning in all the revision and I probably shouldn’t be doing much writing because of that so consider this the last post you see until around June 14! I sound very excited but trust me I am NOT. I am dreading these exams, they were literally the worst things last year.

Anyways, because of this, our teachers were telling us about how to manage our studying time well and how to not procrastinate.

It’s only when you’re doing homework or revising that you realise you just have to do a Buzzfeed quiz to see if you can identify the celebrity by their foreheads (seriously why do they even have these kinds of quizzes?) I mean sure I would want my math homework to be done – in the past tense. I don’t actually want to do the homework.

Here are some top tips that have helped a master procrastinator like me:

  • study for 30 mins and then take a 10 min break in between. After you’ve studied for 30 mins twice, take a longer break that is about 15-20 minutes long. It’s a teeny bit confusing but it makes sense.
  • when you’re taking a break don’t do anything that gives you new information (such as checking the news, social media, watching tv shows) instead do something else like practice playing an instrument, do your nails, write in a journal.
  • do your work in a place where other people can see what you’re doing and can warn you when you’re going off task.
  • reward yourself for staying on task by getting something delicious to eat such as ice cream, or something healthy if you want to be healthy.

That’s not a lot but it’s all I have time for sorryyyyyy!

You’ll get much more interesting posts in the summer break so stay tuned for that ❤

Girl Power Playlist

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY!

I remember writing this same post last year super last minute because I realised I hadn’t written any posts (classic Hreem)

I don’t want to write about the same things I wrote last year which was some of the women that inspire me, and I was TRyInG to think of something kinda original. So I came up with something that includes one of my interests and is just useful to some people (I guess…?!) So I present to you a girl power playlist!

These are a bunch of songs that (I think) are kinda girl power-y. Use this at sleepovers for the crazy (but trying to be quiet) 2 am dance partyyy.

♥️ Girl Power Playlist ♥️

    • BO$$ by Fifth Harmony
    • Run The World (Girls) by Beyoncé
    • Ain’t Your Mama by Jennifer Lopez (I ain’t your mama NoOoOooOOOO)
    • Who Do You Think You Are by the Spice Girls
    • Power by Little Mix
    • That’s My Girl by Fifth Harmony (yes, another one)
    • Who Says by Selena Gomez
    • Girl Power by the Cheetah Girls (hehe)
    • Salute by Little Mix (what can I say, girl groups really spread the message)

sooooo that should keep you occupied for about 25 minutes I think. I know I’ve missed a ton of the best ones but if you make a playlist like this, add them. Or just tell me the ones I forgot down below.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how amazing these girl groups are? I have like *goes back to count* 6/9 of these songs are by groups. Cool.

Make sure to comment some of your fave girl power songs!!

Bedside Beauties

Hello!

None of you really know this yet but recently I redecorated my room and I got knew furniture and changed the placing of some of the old furniture I have to give my room a fresher look. I absolutely LOVE my new room and I’m still finding new ways to decorate it every day.

I think that one of the things that kind of tell you a lot about a person is what they keep on their bedside table. This is so weird, I know, but honestly it’s just my opinion. Through all the seasons, the collection of stuff on your bedside table completely changes. Like, do you keep a little box of snacks for a midnight meal? An inspirational quote to start your day? Maybe even a mirror to check how bad your hair is in the morning?

For me I just have a few basic stuff. I keep my water bottle with a giant ‘H’ on it because it’s very healthy to drink water first thing in the morning. I like to have a good lotion/moisturiser for the night since winter is coming (yayy ❄️). I’m currently loving the ~Water Lotion~ by VSPink because it has a very fresh scent and feels so smooth as soon as you put it on your skin. I also like that it is a pumping bottle because I feel they’re much more handy. I also keep my little Funko Phoebe with I got on my birthday just for a little decoration. I always have a book on the table because I read for a bit before going to sleep and I also have a notebook if I ever have anything to write down. Because it’s winter I can finally get my fuzzy socks out so I’ve got my hot pink ones. Finally, I’ve got a Coco Shea Honey candle which smells sooo goooood and makes my room smell amazing! The candle is generally seasonal though.

Then I have a few other bits and bobs that you can see in the picture ↑↑↑

What do you need to have on your bedside table?

Trip to Gstaad

Me in the snowww

Hey everyone!

This post is long overdue but I forgot that I had already written it and I didn’t post it!

Those of you who have been following my blog for a while will know that I like to travel a lot and last year I really got to explore the world more than I used to and that is amazing. So, on the 17th of December (ages ago) me and my family left to Switzerland and took a few trains which took altogether 3 HOURS! But I had a new book to read so it was all good 👍🏼 The view on the train was beautiful and when we got there there was a fair amount of snow; not too much but just enough.

On the second day (I think) we went skiing and it really started to snow a lot and the whole town looked be-YOO-tiful. But of course every day after that there was rain so it just washed away all the snow and it was gross and muddy and EURGHK.

View from Glacier 3000
View from Glacier 3000

One of the highlights was going up a mountain called Glacier 3000 which had the softest, most powdery snow I’ve ever touched ❄️ Except it was really, really, really cold and my toes actually went numb. Having hot chocolate after that was amazing.

On the second-last day I got to meet my bestie, Noelle who some of you may have read about in my first few posts. All we really did was walk around the town and chat but the weather was nice and beautiful (except for the tiny bit of drizzle which turned into a lot of rain).

On the last day (the 24th!) we had a bit of time before our flight so my family decided to walk around Geneva and do a bit of shopping since there weren’t many shops in Gstaad. I got a nice, pinkish-purple, knitted top which is sooo pretty. You might see it in a future blog post 😉 After that, we had to go back to the airport and go back home.

What place in the world do you really want to visit?

XO Hreem

Hello 2019!

IMG_0301

happy new year!

I know I know I know I haven’t posted since LAST YEAR.

Sorry wait.

I haven’t posted sunce November because I needed to take a break as I wasn’t getting any inspiration at all and I didn’t want to write some boring old post that noone would enjoy reading. But lemme just say I’m baaaaack 🙂

Those of you who’ve been reading my blog for a while will remember (or not) that last year I wrote a post about my new year’s resolutions and how I was gonna stick to them. Needless to say, they were pretty much a fail. I wanted to: write a blog post every week (pretty much stuck to that one…kinda), do homework the same day or the day after I get it (only did that for the first two months), and take my dog for a walk twice a week. Now, that one was kinda just impossible because I underestimated the amount of homework I was gonna get.

For 2019 I decided that I didn’t want to make resolutions, I just wanted goals. Like things I could achieve by the end of the year. Things like:

  • learning the splits (I used to be able to do them but now I can’t)
  • stick with my bullet journal
  • do more exercise
  • eat less sugar

Looking back, a few of them are kinda like resolutions but WHATEVER.

I read the post and I thought 2018 would be better than 2017, ha, that didn’t happen. Honestly, 2018 really wasn’t the best year as a whole but there were some great parts. I got to do so much more traveling which was exciting, and had some great times with friends.

Did you stick to your resolutions from 2018? What are your goals for 2019?
