This post is long overdue but I forgot that I had already written it and I didn’t post it!
Those of you who have been following my blog for a while will know that I like to travel a lot and last year I really got to explore the world more than I used to and that is amazing. So, on the 17th of December (ages ago) me and my family left to Switzerland and took a few trains which took altogether 3 HOURS! But I had a new book to read so it was all good 👍🏼 The view on the train was beautiful and when we got there there was a fair amount of snow; not too much but just enough.
On the second day (I think) we went skiing and it really started to snow a lot and the whole town looked be-YOO-tiful. But of course every day after that there was rain so it just washed away all the snow and it was gross and muddy and EURGHK.
One of the highlights was going up a mountain called Glacier 3000 which had the softest, most powdery snow I’ve ever touched ❄️ Except it was really, really, really cold and my toes actually went numb. Having hot chocolate after that was amazing.
On the second-last day I got to meet my bestie, Noelle who some of you may have read about in my first few posts. All we really did was walk around the town and chat but the weather was nice and beautiful (except for the tiny bit of drizzle which turned into a lot of rain).
On the last day (the 24th!) we had a bit of time before our flight so my family decided to walk around Geneva and do a bit of shopping since there weren’t many shops in Gstaad. I got a nice, pinkish-purple, knitted top which is sooo pretty. You might see it in a future blog post 😉 After that, we had to go back to the airport and go back home.
What place in the world do you really want to visit?
So I am sitting here, trying to deal with this tragic breakup while I reminisce over the BEAUTiful sights.
Which basically means that I’m looking back at all the pictures and the *shopping* (woop woop). If I put all the pictures from London and Prague in this post then I’m afraid you won’t make it ’til the end because you would’ve dozed off. Just to make sure you don’t fall asleep now, I’ll get started; just remember it’s supposed to be a photo diary so there won’t be any writing!
Although I’m sure some of you guys have mixed feelings about picture posts because they can be a little bit BORING.
But today is kind of like a challenge/tag post. Basically, you go through your photos and pick 8 pictures which more or less represent your life. You can also randomly pick them (like I am) which can be more fun, but also embarrassing! You can explain one or two of the pics if you feel like you need to. But otherwise don’t even bother. Here are mine:
So now I nominate all of you guys to do the same challenge!
I promise I’m not lazy I just want to see Y’all do it too 😉
Sorry about me, I just scheduled this post and then didn’t wonder for a while why my “post” wasn’t getting any likes. Yep.
SO………….. May was definitely a very busy month; mostly because of my exams but hey, who’s counting?
This year was the first year that I had ‘End Of Year Exams’ and it was extremely stressful. But now I’m really excited for my results, as I’m sure you guys are too!
Also this month I had that sleepover and really fun mini photoshoot which pictures I have previously shared with you guys. I love love LOVE them so much.
*Hreem thinks for 10 mins and then realizes how boring this month has been*
Now we can just have a nice, friendly chat about life. I did watch two great movies last month though; Overboard and The Kissing Booth (I’m sure all you girls with Netflix would have watched this!), The Kissing Booth was such an amazing movie, and you should go watch it right now if you haven’t already.
Next thing……… I cut my hair!
I didn’t cut it in May but I just had to add that in because I’ve been growing my hair and keeping it long for aaaaaaaages and I finally had the guts to cut off a bit. That and the cruel summer heat of Dubai, and summer is only getting started ☀️ How’s that working out for you guys by the way?
Anywhoo, check out the roundup in pictures because I’m adding some 🙂
I know, I know, I haven’t posted in ages. But I had already warned you that my exams are coming up at the end of the month and most of the times I won’t have time to write a blog post 😦
Anyways, this weekend my friends Mia and Yana came over for a sleepover and we had tons of fun so this is just a little summary!
So, the first thing we did after they came home and ate lunch, is going on Pinterest and finding some cool photo ideas for a mini photoshoot kind of thing. There were some awesome ideas like rainbow, glitter and sparklers and stuff. After that, we took some gorgeous pictures with some flowers and neon lights and I must say it was really was amusing!
Soon we watched some Friends while transferring and editing the photos we took, which btw, were AMAZING. For dinner, we ate some mouth-watering, homemade pizza and peri-peri fries and then watched ‘Flushed Away’. Not my choice of movie 😂
And then my friends and I were chatting and playing games until about 3 am when we finally decided it was time to sleep. It was really fun! Here are some of the pictures we took (these are only mine):
First of all, I would like to apologize for not completing Blogmas. I just got super tired of it and I couldn’t think of any more interesting post ideas; and if you guys didn’t enjoy my posts, there was literally no point posting them. I literally salute the people who can complete the full blogmas, salute!
Now I’m going to get to the interesting part, this post. I accidentally – like anyone’s going to believe accidentally – clicked a few buttons and found out about the ‘Weekly Photo Challenge‘. I don’t 100% understand it yet but I think it’s basically: there will be a photo prompt every week and all you need to do is write a pingback-including the topic, the picture and why you chose that picture. If you actually get it, purLEAse explain it to me down in the comments.
Topic: 2017 Favourites
To celebrate the end of the year, share the most meaningful photo you’ve taken in 2017.
This may be a very weird option for some people but I really love it because everyone would focus on a different part of this photo even though there is not much in it. Basically, perspective. I also love it because there was actually a great mood in the atmosphere at the time ( rain in Dubai is usually very rare so you could say that people were literally partying).
If you like photography then I suggest we do this together! It will be loads of fun, I guess.
