I Went To A Louis Tomlinson Concert!

hellooooo

I know the title already told you but I’m still so happy so I will say it again:

I GOT TO SEE LOUIS TOMLINSON LIVE!!

He was meant to come in 2020 but then obviously that got rescheduled and then cancelled which was a little heartbreaking. The announcement came on the 10th of May and I saw it when I came home from my English exam so it was a nice little reward kind of thing. I literally jumped around my room for a good ten seconds which doesn’t sound like a lot but it is. I’m not a very athletic person.

Anyways, let’s talk about the actual concert. First there was an opening act, his name is Greg Pearson. His set was short but he has an amazing voice so check out his music as well if you like artists like Lewis Capaldi or James Arthur. I feel like the vibes are similar.

Louis finally came on stage at 8:30 and entered with ‘We Made It’ as his opening song. I have to admit, before the concert I was a bit skeptical about whether that was really the best choice to open the show but once he started I was like okay yes this is perfect.

He performed an unreleased song called Change which I already listened to a few times and liked but it’s honestly a million times better live. I can’t wait to hear it on his next album.
He ALSO performed three One Direction songs which was a very fulfilling experience. First was Drag Me Down which everyone screamed the loudest, then Little Black Dress which was just so fun to dance and jump around to, and then finally Through The Dark!! Through The Dark is one of my mom and I’s favourite songs from 1D so we were insanely happy to hear it.

Overall the concert was just everything I wanted and I am SO GRATEFUL.

Here are some pictures because, as usual, they’re the best part 😚

I hope you enjoyed the post!! Talk to me in the commentsss. How is summer going for you so far? If you listen to Louis Tomlinson, what songs of his are your favourites? Have you ever been to a concert??

Song rec. of the post: Defenceless by Louis Tomlinson. I first listened to Defenceless only because of the fan project that made it start trending I think last year? But yes, now it’s probably my favourite song off the album because I just love honest and vulnerable lyrics and this song is full of them. Hearing it live was a dream 😭 100% recommend you to go listen to it and let me know what you think ❤

Harry’s House: Another Album Review

me too simmy

Hellooo

Before I start ANYTHING I just wanna let you guys know that my best friend Simran created her own blog and you should go check it outtt!! If you like fashion, music, reading (especially reading) and are a teenager I know you’ll love her so go give Simmy’s Little Life a read, comment and follow 🥰 merci

Harry finally decided to release his third album!! 😩

Harry’s House released on the 20th of May and I listened to it with my mom in the kitchen before I did my last exam in the hopes that it would improve my vibes. It kind of did not because some of the songs were a little sad (looking at Matilda and Little Freak right now) but mainly because I wasn’t a huge fan of the album after the first listen 😭

It’s okay though that happens with albums sometimes. I listened to it a few more times later and I now LOVE the album, there isn’t a single song on it that I wouldn’t wanna listen to. I also feel like some of the songs give me One Direction vibes or have parallels with One Direction songs which is cute. The only thing that I don’t love is that there weren’t any lyrics that really stuck out to me 😔 This could just be me but I feel like almost all of the lyrics are pretty average or just so cryptic to the point where you’re like did he even have a meaning in mind while writing this because I have no clue what he’s trying to say.

Opinions ✨:

  • The intro of ‘Music For A Sushi Restaurant’ sounds like the singing fish from The Lorax and I just find that hilarious. I wasn’t a fan of the song at first but it’s a vibe now.
  • I really loved ‘Late Night Talking’ when he performed it at Coachella and I love the studio version even more. It’s just such a fun song to dance around to.
  • The chorus of ‘Grapejuice’ sounds like ‘Gotta Be You’ by 1D. Someone had to say it.
  • As It Was is the first ever lead single that is one of my favourites from the album. Like usually lead singles get annoying or boring but I rank AIW in my top 3 of Harry’s House.
  • Daylight isn’t really one of my favourites but I do enjoy listening to it still.
  • I absolutely LOVE Little Freak. Not really sure why that’s what he decided to name the song because the vibe is completely different. I’m so obsessed with the chorus I literally can’t stop listening to it 😭
  • Matilda is quite sad ☹️ One of the lyrics gave me slight chills when I first listened to it but I can’t remember which so that’s annoying, really love the song though.
  • I don’t know what Harry was thinking putting Cinema right after Matilda because that transition gave me major whiplash. While I have no idea what he’s trying to say with this song (after reading some of the theories I think it’s better to be oblivious), it’s one of my favourites on the album and I really like this different vibe he’s going with.
  • Daydreaming and Keep Driving feel slightly similar to me and I have no idea why. But I think they’re both great songs to listen to while driving next to a beach in the summer because they have that chill and playful summery feel.
  • Satellite was up there with Little Freak for the first few days and I just continuously listened to those two songs back to back. The bridge is my favourite part of the song, it’s just so addictive (and sounds very One Direction-y)
  • Now for the only skip on the album: Boyfriends. I’m sorry but I’ve listened to this song once and once was enough. It’s just kinda boring and doesn’t stand out 😭😭 I’m sorry to anyone who likes this song but I am not one of you.
  • And finallyyyyy, Love Of My Life. Many parts of this song sound super Joshua Bassett-y to me (especially the “it’s unfortunate, just coordinates” part) which I find interesting lol. I love the piano part at the end of the song, it’s one of my favourite album enders.

I decided to bring back my song ranking thing because it’s much easier with new albums so here it is for now (from favourite to least favourite):

Little Freak
As It Was
Satellite
Late Night Talking
Cinema
Matilda
Love Of My Life
Music For a Sushi Restaurant
Daydreaming
Grapejuice
Daylight
Boyfriends

Hope you liked my mini review and feel inspired to go listen to the album because it’s quite a feel-good album in my opinion 😌.
Have you listened to Harry’s House yet? What are your favourites at the moment? What are your least favourites?? Talk to me in the comments!

Let’s Talk About Fangirls

Hello guysss

how have you been??

I’ve just been super busy and tired which is annoying.
Last we had our Personal Project exhibition in school and it was pretty fun because my board was next to most of my friends so we were just chatting and laughing most of the time but it was also extremely exhausting so there’s that.

Anyways, quickly moving on to the topic of today’s post because it’s something I’ve been noticing a lot recently:

✨fangirls✨

If you’re following my blog and are interested in the stuff I post, I’d say you are most likely also a girl, probably a teenager, and probably a fan of something or someone because I know I am. And if you’ve ever expressed this admiration you have in front of other people you’ve most likely been made fun of for it at least a little bit or been called a “fangirl” in a derogatory way.

For some reason, society loves to hate on girls or women who express their love for…anything really. If a girl goes out of their way to do something for a person, band, book or whatever that they love, or if they express any emotions towards this thing, they are immediately dismissed as obsessive. I mean, I remember One Direction fans being hardcore bullied way back when just for liking a group of five teenage-ish boys? Oh and when people got upset about Zayn leaving or the guys taking a break, the entire internet labelled them as overdramatic and moved on. That doesn’t sit right with me because majority of the people that had something to say were full grown adults like dude let children live and enjoy what they want please and thank you 😐.

What makes all of this even funnier and more interesting is the fact that sports fans get away with the same behaviour – if not much worse – without any criticism. Sports has generally been seen as a more “masculine” thing, especially before (obviously I don’t immediately associate sports with guys, I just mean in terms of history and the fact that all sports used to be male-dominated) and that suddenly seems to make things okay. Like 15-year-old girls who cry at their favourite artists’ concerts because they’re just overwhelmed with emotion (which I’d say is very sweet) and do no harm to anybody are “hysterical” and “crazy” but screaming and swearing at a sports event just shows that you are “dedicated” and “passionate”. Make it make sense.

There are adult men out there throwing a whole tantrum, vandalising property and literally harming people because their sports team lost and the other team was obviously cheating it was so rigged!!!!!!! but people point fingers at teenagers getting excited about seeing BTS live. Cute.

So yep, those are my thoughts on this topic and I had so much more to say but we can save that for another post.

Let me know your thoughts on what I said. Do you agree? Do you disagree?? I love to read your comments so please leave one 😊

See you next timeeee

Song recommendation of the post: Feels Like by Gracie Abrams came out a few months ago I think and at first I just thought it was like an okay song but I started listening to it more and now I love ittt. I feel like the melody is so nice and her voice is so pretty. I’ve listened to it more than any other song this year so check it out and let me know what you think!!

Another Photo Dump

hello everybody!!

it’s the lovely month of November now and has been for a while but oops

the past few months have felt chaotic to me because we’re going out a lot more (going to school and stuff) but it’s been oddly fun and time FLEW.

omg and RED (TAYLOR’S VERSION) RELEASES TOMORROW!! ALL TOO WELL TEN MINUTE VERSION!! I cannot wait 😫 If you’ve been following me for a while you should already know what’s coming next… (Red album review of course). Between Us by Little Mix also releases tomorrow so it’s definitely gonna be a good day.

In honour of finally having a reason to take pictures again but not having anywhere to put them, I decided to do another photo dump ☺️ I love making photo dumps and also seeing photo dumps on other people’s blogs because it’s a nice way to see your blogger friends in real life lol. Like we all just know each other through writing; isn’t that so cool but also strange but also awesome??

Anyways yes here’s … chic life through my lens?

He apparently had no idea who One Direction is and just randomly found this bag in his house. I played him some songs and he now loves Drag Me Down ☺️ Character development.
my room looking vibey
hi jaanvi
my birthdayyyy ❤ hi misha, maia, yana, simran, and netra

my last photo dump feels like forever ago but it was only the end of April wow. Time flies.

update me on how your life is going right now! how’s school? how are your friends? how are your hobbies? anything you’re currently looking forward to?? let me know!!!

Song recommendation of the post: The Kids Are All Dying by Finneas. The songwriting of this song is just so good like all of Finneas’ songs but I’ve honestly never heard another song like this one. It’s so ironic and critical or criticism and accepting of criticism and just funny at some parts. His entire new album is amazing but this song in particular I’m just obsessed with at the moment.
